Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people across the Eastern Region?

Foster East, the Eastern Region’s Fostering Recruitment and Retention Hub, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fostering Recruitment & Retention Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in recruiting and supporting prospective foster carers across the Eastern Region, helping to ensure more children can grow up in safe, stable and loving homes. This post is hosted by Norfolk County Council but is part of a cross-regional team and would therefore suit applicants from across the Eastern Region. Remote with travel to Norwich one day per month.

You will be the first point of contact for people interested in fostering. You'll support potential foster carers from their initial enquiry through to the next stages of the application process, providing excellent customer service and maintaining engagement throughout their journey.

What you'll be doing

  • Responding to telephone and email enquiries from prospective foster carers.
  • Building relationships with prospective foster carers and supporting them to make informed decisions about fostering.
  • Acting as the front door to the Regional Fostering Hub, ensuring all enquiries receive a timely and professional response and are seamlessly handed over to local teams.
  • Coordinating initial visits and appointments with fostering teams across the region.
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing enquiry information through the CRM system.
  • Organising and attending fostering recruitment events, information sessions and promotional activities, when required.
  • Working with marketing colleagues and partners across 11 local authorities to raise awareness of fostering.
  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders, partners and local communities.
  • Supporting ongoing service development and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
