VWA is hiring! We are looking for an ambitious and curious Research Consultant to join our team. As part of the Research team supporting the Consultants across Temporary, Contract and Permanent searches, this is a role with multiple possible areas of progression and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a commercial and people-focused environment.

The successful candidate will need to be aware of the very different needs of each, and be highly disciplined in prioritising commercially essential and time-restricted tasks whilst remaining flexible to revise and pivot their schedule as in real time as new, urgent tasks come in which supersede others. Duties include:

  • Provide research services to the business, primarily to both search divisions (Permanent; Temporary & Contract).
  • Conduct end-to-end candidate search and selection campaigns, using a variety of platforms.
  • Contact candidates directly, and headhunt potential candidates for targeted searches.
  • Maintain both via the database and through their own interaction an ever-growing network of candidate relationships.
  • Undertake research into existing and target clients, as well as regional, global and sector market conditions, providing detailed analysis to the business.
  • On occasion, directly support Consultants in their searches, and may take the lead on searches themselves, subject either to business need or if the client/role has been won due to their personal business development activities.
  • Represent VWA at client briefings, networking and other events, some of which will fall outside of working hours.
  • Assist with any additional administrative tasks required by the business.

About You:

  • Prior office experience is required (recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential).
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • An efficient approach to work and with a warm and approachable manner.
  • Team-working and commercial mindset.

Additional Details:

  • Opportunities for development.
  • Core hours are 9am – 5.30pm, with flexibility to work beyond these hours if required.
  • The company operates a hybrid working structure (3 days office-based) however the successful candidate will be fully office-based for a least the first 3 months while onboarding.
  • Competitive base salary up to 35K depending on relevant experience and eventual eligibility for discretionary bonus.
