Recruitment & Business Manager – Liverpool
At Osborne, we're growing – and we're excited to be opening a new office in Liverpool. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Recruitment & Business Manager to join us and play a key role in establishing and growing our presence in the Liverpool market.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional who enjoys being hands-on, building relationships, developing business and supporting a team. You'll have the opportunity to help shape our new Liverpool office while working as part of an international, award-winning recruitment consultancy that believes in Recruitment Excellence.
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, collaborative and passionate about recruitment, with the drive to build a successful desk, develop strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of the office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including taking job requirements, sourcing and shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews, interview preparation and successful placements.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the Liverpool market.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate network, providing professional advice and support throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage Temporary, Contract and Permanent recruitment opportunities.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Liverpool recruitment market, including key sectors, employers, talent pools and market trends.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, candidate relationships, business development activity and local market engagement.
- Take responsibility for achieving individual and office recruitment targets and contributing to the overall growth of the Liverpool office.
- Support the development of the office and help establish Osborne as a trusted recruitment partner within the local market.
- Provide guidance, support and mentoring to colleagues as the team develops.
- Manage recruitment administration, compliance and client/candidate documentation to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Osborne team, sharing knowledge, best practice and market insights.
- Represent Osborne professionally at client meetings, networking events and industry events.

Key Requirements
- Previous experience working within agency recruitment, ideally with experience across both candidate management and business development.
- Experience in a recruitment consultant or recruitment management role.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop trusted relationships with clients and candidates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence in developing new business opportunities.
- Ability to manage priorities, work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisation and follow-up skills, with a strong sense of urgency and client focus.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role and helping to build a new office from the ground up.
- Leadership or mentoring experience would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in experienced recruiters who are ready to take the next step into management.
