Recruitment Business Partner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Recruitment Business Partner based in United Kingdom.

This is an entrepreneurial partnership for an experienced recruitment, sales, or talent professional who wants to help build a recruitment business rather than join a traditional hierarchy. You’ll combine business development, candidate sourcing, recruitment delivery, and strategic decision-making to help startups hire exceptional talent. You’ll bring your own network and client relationships while leveraging an established business, candidate database, ATS, and outbound infrastructure. The focus is on working with startup founders, engineering leaders, and hiring managers across European markets. You’ll have significant freedom to shape your approach and use AI, automation, CRM, and sourcing tools to work efficiently. Compensation is directly tied to results through a revenue-share model, creating a true partnership where both parties benefit from growth.

Accountabilities

  • Develop new client relationships by leveraging your network of founders, engineering leaders, hiring managers, and other decision-makers within the European technology and startup ecosystem.
  • Build relationships with startup founders, particularly at seed to Series A stage, and understand their hiring challenges, priorities, and talent needs.
  • Source, engage, and qualify candidates using the existing ATS, candidate database, LinkedIn, outbound tools, and other relevant sourcing channels.
  • Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial engagement and qualification through to placement.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell existing candidates across multiple client requirements and maximize the value of the candidate network.
  • Design and run personalized outbound sequences that generate meaningful conversations without relying on generic or overly transactional recruitment messaging.
  • Use AI, automation, CRM systems, sourcing platforms, and other modern tools to improve efficiency and scale recruitment and business-development activities.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions around which clients to pursue, which candidate markets to develop, and which commercial approaches are most promising.
  • Collaborate as an equal business partner, sharing priorities, ideas, opportunities, and results while helping shape the future direction of the recruitment business.
  • Build a recruitment experience based on direct communication, strong relationships, commercial awareness, and a high-quality candidate and client experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements

  • Strong existing network within technology, startups, engineering, or related professional communities, with genuine relationships that can lead to client introductions and business opportunities.
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, recruitment sales, business development, founder-led growth, or a comparable role involving people, relationships, and commercial outcomes.
  • Alternatively, a background as a technology founder, hiring manager, or professional who has developed a strong instinct for talent and the hiring process.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and the ability to generate opportunities independently rather than relying on an established lead flow.
  • Strong understanding of startup hiring environments and credibility when communicating with technical founders and engineering leaders.
  • High level of technical fluency, with the ability to work naturally with ATS platforms, CRM systems, AI/LLM tools, automation platforms, LinkedIn, and other modern recruiting technologies.
  • Strong sourcing, candidate engagement, sales, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create direct, authentic outreach that stands out from conventional recruiter messaging.
  • Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to assess which clients, candidates, markets, and opportunities are worth pursuing.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and without traditional management structures.
  • Comfortable with variable income and the uncertainty inherent in contingency recruitment and a performance-based partnership.
  • Able to operate effectively within European time zones, particularly given the focus on clients across the UK, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, and France.

Benefits

  • Revenue-share compensation: Earn directly from successful placements and commercial results, with the exact revenue split negotiable between partners.
  • True business partnership: Participate in building and growing the recruitment business rather than joining a traditional employee hierarchy.
  • Full autonomy: Decide how you approach sourcing, business development, outreach, and relationship building without conventional reporting structures.
  • Established infrastructure: Gain access to an operational ATS, candidate database, email infrastructure, outbound toolkit, and established recruitment methodology.
  • Existing client base: Build on an established business with paying clients and active placement opportunities.
  • Candidate network: Access an existing pool of candidates, including profiles that can potentially be introduced to multiple opportunities.
  • Growth opportunity: Help shape commercial strategy, identify new markets, and influence the direction of the business.
  • Modern technology stack: Use AI, automation, CRM, sourcing, and productivity tools to build a highly efficient recruitment operation.
  • Fully remote: Work remotely from the Netherlands with flexibility across European time zones.
  • Contract arrangement: Operate as an independent contractor in a senior/executive-level partnership.
  • Performance-driven upside: Your earning potential is directly connected to the clients, candidates, and placements you help generate.
