This role is about more than just checking boxes; it’s a framework to ensure that every recruitment step is carried out accurately and reliably. Whether it's verifying documents, cross-referencing information, or leveraging advanced technologies, maintaining high standards is non-negotiable. This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility position where accuracy, risk awareness, and strong judgement are essential.
What you’ll be doing

- Stay current with legal requirements and industry standards (if regulation shifts, our procedures should, too) to minimise risk and maximise compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular audits to help identify weaknesses in the recruitment process then manage feedback loops to enable improvement.
- Document verification checks, every step should be documented meticulously to help train new starters and maintain protocol.
- Regulatory compliance.
- Apply quality control mechanisms (double checking protocols, cross-referencing information from multiple sources to safeguard against mistakes).
- Compliance to Legal and Ethics standards, respecting candidate privacy, confidentiality, and data considerations.
- Contribute to / implement robust systems for ongoing monitoring and evaluation (routine audits, periodic reviews, automated alerts for inconsistency) and use data to continuously fine tune the process.
- Champion the use of AI for monitoring tools and audit mechanisms to minimise human error and ensure accuracy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
