Recruitment Consultant – Industrial Temps

6-Month Contract | Leeds, LS15 4LG | Hybrid | £Competitive DOE

Are you an experienced Recruitment Consultant who thrives on pace, targets, relationships, and getting things done?

Do you know the difference between recruitment experience and really understanding recruitment?

If you're commercially driven, resilient, organised, and love the buzz of matching great people with great opportunities, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

Aqumen Recruitment is growing — and we're looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Industrial Temp Division on an initial 6-month contract.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back...

Our Industrial Temp Division is fast-moving, people-focused, and commercially driven.

You'll be working in an environment where every day is different — from winning new business and strengthening client relationships, to sourcing candidates, managing temporary workers, and making sure vacancies are filled quickly and effectively.

You'll need to be someone who enjoys the challenge.

Someone who can pick up the phone, build relationships, solve problems, and make things happen.

Most importantly, you'll need to understand that great temporary recruitment is about more than filling a vacancy — it's about delivering a service that clients trust and candidates value.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Industrial Recruitment Consultant, you'll take ownership of your desk and play a key role in driving the continued growth of our temporary recruitment operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing existing client relationships
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Taking detailed vacancy briefs and understanding exactly what the client needs
  • Sourcing, interviewing, and selecting suitable candidates
  • Managing a busy temporary workforce and building strong candidate relationships
  • Responding quickly and effectively to changing client requirements
  • Managing the full recruitment process from initial contact through to placement
  • Conducting regular candidate and client communication
  • Helping to ensure high levels of compliance and service delivery
  • Working closely with the wider Aqumen team to maximise opportunities
  • Hitting and exceeding commercial and recruitment targets

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
