Recruitment Consultant

Location: Gateshead
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and driven Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in connecting talented candidates with leading employers while building long-term client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and enjoys developing new business as well as delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Source, interview, and assess candidates for a variety of vacancies.
  • Advertise vacancies across multiple recruitment platforms and social media channels.
  • Match candidates to suitable opportunities and manage the recruitment process from start to finish.
  • Generate new business through proactive sales activity, networking, and business development.
  • Negotiate terms of business, fees, and candidate offers.
  • Provide clients and candidates with regular updates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate records using the company's CRM and recruitment systems.
  • Achieve agreed performance and activity targets while delivering a high standard of service.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Previous recruitment or sales experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and resilient approach.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Commercial awareness and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • A positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
