This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales or business development experience, or, perhaps a graduate, eager to build a career in recruitment, who can evidence a commercial mindset. You will receive structured training and ongoing coaching to develop skills in candidate attraction, client development, relationship management and full-cycle recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and attract high-quality candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, social media, direct approaches, referrals and networking.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from brief to offer: job advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, shortlisting, client presentation, feedback and offer negotiation.
- Conduct efficient and thorough candidate screening calls and interviews to assess skills, cultural fit and career objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with candidates and clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process.
- Generate new business through targeted prospecting, lead generation, outbound calling, warm calling, market mapping and attendance at networking events.
- Support account management activities and grow existing client relationships by identifying opportunities for additional hires and talent solutions.
- Advertise vacancies across multiple channels, create compelling job specs and manage applications to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM/ATS—updating candidate profiles, client contacts, activity logs and placement outcomes.
- Meet and exceed personal and team KPI targets (e.g. submittals, interviews arranged, placements, billings and revenue generation).
- Collaborate with colleagues to share market insight, candidate pipelines and best practice; contribute to a supportive team culture.
- Keep up to date with market trends, salary benchmarks and competitor activity relevant to your recruitment specialism.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
