Recruitment Consultant – Social Care | Preston

Service Care Solutions is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Social Care team at our Head Office in Preston.

As part of our Unqualified Social Care division, you’ll have the opportunity to recruit across a broad range of Social Care positions, from Family Support Workers and Care Workers through to Registered Managers, covering temporary, permanent and shift-based opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants more than just a traditional recruitment role. Alongside managing existing opportunities, a key part of the position will be developing new business and building a market within the private and independent Social Care sector. You’ll have the freedom to identify new clients, develop relationships with care providers, charities and other organisations, and grow your own portfolio of business.

There is already a strong foundation of existing relationships and a healthy flow of vacancies, giving you the opportunity to generate placements from day one while developing new markets and revenue streams.

What will you be doing?

This is a 360 recruitment role with a strong emphasis on business development and market growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing candidates for temporary, permanent and shift-based opportunities.
  • Building relationships with private care providers, charities and other Social Care organisations.
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities and developing your own client base within the private-sector market.
  • Working with Local Authorities to identify and secure new temporary and permanent vacancies.
  • Managing the full recruitment process, from taking a vacancy and sourcing candidates through to interview, offer and placement.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process.
  • Supporting temporary workers once placed, including timesheet management and ongoing account management.
  • Working towards individual and team targets, with strong performance recognised and rewarded.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
