Job Title: Recruitment Consultant
Location: Morgan Prestwich Haywards Heath Offices
Industry: Life Science Industries – Biotech/Biopharma/Medical Device and Manufacturing
Geographic Focus: Europe, US, APAC
Travel: Internationally circa 4 weeks spread per annum
Remuneration: Base salary (experience dependent) + commission + pension + healthcare + Life Assurance
Morgan Prestwich is expanding their Haywards Heath UK, East Sussex team. We are seeking dedicated Recruitment Consultants, to build relationships with clients around the world.

The Opportunity
We are looking for ambitious, commercially minded individuals to join our growing Life Sciences recruitment team as a Recruitment Consultant.
This opportunity is suitable for candidates ranging from graduates and individuals looking to begin a career in recruitment through to experienced Recruitment Consultants who are looking to learn from one of the best teams in the industry, progress their skills, insights, network and careers.
You do not necessarily need previous Life Sciences or recruitment experience. What matters most is your ability to communicate confidently, build relationships, learn quickly and demonstrate the drive and resilience required to develop a successful career in recruitment.

You will work within the international Life Sciences industry, partnering with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare companies to identify and attract talented professionals.
For experienced recruiters, the role provides the opportunity to develop your own specialist market, build client relationships and progress towards senior consulting and leadership positions.
For those entering recruitment, you will receive structured training and support to develop the skills required to become a successful Recruitment Consultant.
The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will gradually take responsibility for managing the recruitment process from identifying potential candidates through to developing client relationships and successfully completing assignments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing knowledge of a specialist area within the Life Sciences industry
- Researching biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare companies
- Identifying and approaching high-quality candidates
- Conducting candidate interviews and assessing suitability for opportunities
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with candidates
- Developing networks of professionals within your specialist market
- Managing candidate pipelines and recruitment processes
- Writing candidate profiles and presenting shortlisted candidates to clients
- Coordinating interviews and managing feedback
- Supporting candidates through offer negotiations and onboarding
- Identifying potential new clients and business opportunities
- Building relationships with hiring managers and senior industry professionals
- Developing new business through telephone, email, LinkedIn, networking and industry events
- Attending client meetings, conferences and industry events where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate information within the company's CRM
- Working towards individual and team performance targets
