Position: Recruitment Consultant

Earnings: £26-38k base with circa £60k-£120k OTE


We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and experienced Permanent Recruitment Consultant / Account Manager to support the growth of LAi's permanent recruitment business. Depending on the role, activities will include new business and/or existing client sales development.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Delivery

  • Management and delivery of the entire end-to-end recruitment and/or project life-cycle, fully aligned to the clients’ Service Level Agreement, including but not limited to:
    • Vacancy qualification
    • Search / sourcing techniques (multiple methods)
    • Adequate personal resourcing activity
    • Supporting and mentoring Support Staff (inputting searches / re-qualifying candidates)
    • Full candidate management:
      • Coded pool management
      • Submission, interview and offer management
      • Negotiations; aftercare and extension management
    • Effective time management allocating sufficient time to invest in account/business development regardless of delivery commitments, to ensure targets are met and the pipeline of quality requirements is maintained to ensure financial targets are achieved.
    • Client mapping: identification of additional opportunity within the client
    • Client / manager relationship development (identification, creation and growth)

Market Ownership & Business Development

  • Own and develop a defined market niche, identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations with clients and candidates.
  • Support bid and proposal preparation where required.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasting.

Candidate & Client Delivery

  • Manage the full 360 recruitment process independently.
  • Produce high-quality shortlists through advanced sourcing methods.
  • Conduct client meetings, take job briefs and provide consultative advice.
  • Negotiate terms, fees and offers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with hiring managers and mid-level stakeholders.
  • Begin building relationships with senior managers under guidance.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal processes and documentation standards.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opt-outs, references and contractual documentation.
