Trainee Recruitment Consultant
iO Associates | Defence | Bristol
£26,000 - £35,000 + uncapped commission | Full-time | Permanent
iO Associates is looking for ambitious and driven individuals to join our specialist Defence recruitment team in Bristol as Trainee Recruitment Consultants.
You'll build a career within a specialist recruitment environment, working with organisations and professionals across the Defence sector. From day one, you'll develop your understanding of the market, build valuable relationships and learn how to connect highly skilled professionals with the organisations that need them.
Whether you're a recent graduate or have experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, estate agency, sport or another target-driven environment, we're looking for people with the resilience, ambition and determination to succeed.
No previous recruitment experience is required. Our award-winning six-month training programme will give you the skills, knowledge and support to develop into a successful recruitment consultant, with clear progression and uncapped earning potential.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll learn to manage the recruitment process from both a client and candidate perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing new business and building client relationships
- Making outbound calls and generating new opportunities
- Building relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders
- Negotiating commercial terms and recruitment agreements
- Sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards and networking
- Speaking with and qualifying candidates
- Managing the recruitment process through to placement
- Developing specialist knowledge of the Defence market
- Building your professional network and personal brand
- Working towards individual and team sales targets
