Build your career in recruitment with Anson McCade!
Anson McCade is a specialist technology recruitment business working with organisations across the UK, Ireland and Europe. We recruit across areas including technology, engineering, product, digital and consulting.
We’re looking for ambitious people to join our Belfast team. You don’t need years of recruitment experience to succeed here. What matters most is your attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn.
You’ll work closely with experienced recruiters who will help you develop your market knowledge, recruitment skills and commercial understanding from day one.
What will you be doing?
Your role will involve a mix of candidate research, relationship building and commercial activity, including:
- Building and developing your own network of technology professionals across different markets.
- Researching and identifying candidates through LinkedIn, headhunting, advertising and networking.
- Speaking with candidates about their experience, ambitions and potential career opportunities.
- Working closely with clients to understand what they need and finding the right people for their business.
- Developing your knowledge of the technology and consulting markets you recruit into.
- Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to offer and negotiation.
- Approaching high-performing professionals who may not actively be looking, and showing them why a new opportunity could be worth considering.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
