About the Opportunity
Barrington James is growing, and we’re looking for an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our Birmingham team.
This opportunity would suit someone who is experienced in recruitment, has exposure to both candidate and client-side recruitment, and is ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll be working in a 360 recruitment role, managing the full recruitment process from developing new client relationships and winning opportunities through to sourcing, interviewing and placing candidates.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proactive and independent – Able to manage their own workload and take ownership of their desk
- Experienced in 360 recruitment – Experience working with both candidates and clients
- Goal-driven and ambitious – Motivated by targets, success and career progression
- Confident and personable – Comfortable speaking with candidates and clients over the phone
- Resilient and determined – Able to handle the highs and lows of recruitment
- Office-focused – Happy working from our Birmingham office Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the full 360 recruitment lifecycle
- Building and developing relationships with clients
- Identifying and winning new business opportunities
- Sourcing and engaging with candidates within your specialist market
- Conducting candidate interviews and managing the recruitment process
- Negotiating offers and successfully closing placements
- Developing your own client and candidate network
- Working towards individual and team targets
