Recruitment Consultant – B2B Sales Experience
Farnborough | £30,000–£40,000 basic + uncapped commission
Are you successful in sales but looking for a career offering greater earning potential, progression and ownership?
This is an opportunity to take your existing business development skills into recruitment. You don’t need previous recruitment experience: you’ll receive structured training covering client development, candidate management, negotiation and the complete recruitment process.
You’ll join an established specialist recruitment business that has been operating for more than 35 years. Both its Managing Director and Sales Director began their careers with no previous recruitment experience, so there is a genuine understanding of how to train and develop people entering the industry.

What will you be doing?
This is a full recruitment role combining sales, relationship management and candidate engagement. You will:
- Identify and approach prospective clients
- Build relationships with decision-makers
- Understand clients’ recruitment requirements
- Source and engage suitable candidates
- Manage interviews, feedback and offers
- Negotiate fees, salaries and commercial terms
- Develop your own specialist market and client portfolio
- Earn commission from the business you generate and the candidates you place
You’ll own the complete process, from opening the first conversation through to successfully placing the candidate.

What are we looking for?
You don’t need recruitment experience, but you will need:
- Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, telesales or account management
- Confidence making outbound calls and approaching new customers
- Evidence of working towards sales targets or KPIs
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Resilience, commercial awareness and self-motivation
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in recruitment
- The ability to work from the Farnborough office as required
This could suit someone currently working in software sales, advertising sales, events, financial services, estate agency, automotive sales, telecoms, training sales or another target-driven commercial environment.
