Recruitment Consultant - Delivery Only

Office Based (London Liverpool Street / Aldgate)

£32K - £38K plus uncapped commission | Route to equity

No business development. None.

Read that twice, because most adverts that say it do not mean it.

Net Zero Evolution does not use 360 recruiters and it never will. The business is split permanently in two: a client-facing team that wins the work, and a delivery team that fills it.

You would sit in delivery. You would never be asked to cold call a client, chase a vacancy, pitch terms or carry a BD number. Not this year, not when it gets busy, not ever. It is a settled decision, not a phase.

What you would do instead is hunt.

The role

You work alongside our Delivery Manager and directly with the Managing Director, on live roles for clients who have already committed to us. Most of our clients buy their hiring from us up front against a twelve month plan, so roles arrive as a regular flow rather than a scramble for whatever came in this morning.

Your day is finding people who are not looking, then doing the part most recruiters skip. Working out what actually moves someone. What they want next and why. What their current employer is not giving them. Whether the role in front of them is genuinely the right one, and telling them straight when it is not.

We recruit across EV charging, solar, battery storage, hydrogen and the wider decarbonisation of transport and energy, from technicians through to senior leadership. The candidates are technical and they can tell inside a minute whether you understand their world. We will teach you the sector. We cannot teach you to be interested in people.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The tools

We have invested more in technology than a business our size would normally justify, and we are proud of it. You would get a sourcing tool that maps a market in an hour rather than a fortnight, a note taker that writes up your calls while you are still on them, a live view of every role and every candidate, and an assistant that takes the admin, the formatting, the research and the chasing off your desk.

The point is not the software. The point is that we expect you to fill roughly twice as many roles here as you do in your current job, because you will spend your time in conversation instead of at a keyboard.

The money, and the bigger thing

  • £32K - £38K Basic DOE
  • Strong commission with no threshold games and no capped bands
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual incentives
  • Pay rises and promotion tied to output, reviewed properly rather than once a year
  • A clear route into a senior role as the delivery team grows underneath you

Then the part that matters more. The plan is for the first five employees to buy this business. That is the long game. It is why the team is being built slowly and carefully, and it is why we are choosy about who joins. If you want to be a number on someone else's desk for another five years, this is not the job. If you want to help build something and own a piece of what you built, that is genuinely on the table, and Lindsay will walk you through exactly how it is intended to work before you accept anything.

Who this suits

  • A recruiter who genuinely enjoys the search and the candidate conversation, and would happily never speak to a client about terms again
  • Someone autonomous. You will be given the roles, the tools and the support, and then left to run
  • Someone consultative, who asks better questions than everyone else and listens to the answers
  • Someone who can think flexibly and hold several searches at once without dropping any of them
  • Hard working, ambitious, high energy, and comfortable in a small team where everyone can see everyone else's numbers

Who it does not suit

  • Anyone who needs a manager standing behind them
  • Anyone who wants a quiet desk and a predictable year
  • Anyone who wants to do a bit of everything. This is a specialist delivery role by design

About us

Net Zero Evolution are global recruitment experts in the decarbonisation of transport and energy, based in London and working across the UK, Europe and North America. Our founder's stated aim is to build the world's first recruitment company whose goal is to make clients less dependent on recruitment agencies. That sounds like a strange thing for a recruiter to say. It is also why our clients stay, why the work is consistent, and why the job is more interesting than a standard agency desk.

We plant ten trees for every placement we make. We also run Net Zero Heroes, a free schools programme that shows students the careers available in EV, renewables and hydrogen.
