Recruitment Consultant - Engineering & Construction

Location: London

Working Pattern: Hybrid

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + benefits

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join an in-house recruitment team, specialising across the engineering and construction sectors.

You will take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle, working closely with hiring managers to understand their requirements, develop effective recruitment strategies and deliver high-quality candidates across both blue-collar and white-collar positions.

This is an opportunity for an experienced recruiter who wants to work in a collaborative, commercially focused environment where you have genuine ownership of your market and the ability to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy briefing through to offer and placement.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and internal stakeholders.
  • Take detailed recruitment briefs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Proactively identify and approach high-quality candidates across engineering and construction.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, databases, referrals, networking and direct approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across both blue- and white-collar markets.
  • Engage with passive candidates and build long-term relationships within your specialist market.
  • Conduct detailed candidate interviews and assess suitability against role requirements.
  • Manage the interview and offer process, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout.
  • Provide market insight to hiring managers, including salary levels, candidate availability and market trends.
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Resourcer to maximise candidate generation and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy records within the recruitment CRM.
  • Monitor recruitment activity, pipeline performance and time-to-hire.
  • Develop long-term talent pools to support current and future hiring requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
