Recruitment Consultant - Insurance & Risk

Location: Bolton | Hybrid

Build your market. Build your reputation. Build your career.

Recruitment has changed. We believe the way recruiters work should change with it.

The People Pod was founded by two people with more than 20 years' combined recruitment and sales experience who saw an opportunity to challenge traditional recruitment methods.

Rather than chasing volume, we focus on quality over quantity. We build genuine relationships, invest in understanding our clients and candidates, and take a more considered approach to finding the right people - not simply the most available people. That philosophy has helped us build a growing specialist recruitment business working with ambitious brands across the UK and Europe.

We're now looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join and help grow our Insurance offering.

This isn't a blank-sheet opportunity.

Our Insurance team already has established clients, live vacancies and a strong market presence, giving you an immediate platform to generate revenue while building your own network and reputation. And you'll have the opportunity to develop your own area of specialism across the Insurance market, with particular scope across:

  • Commercial Broking
  • Account Handling
  • Account Executives
  • Client Directors
  • Broking & Placement
  • Claims
  • Specialist & Corporate Insurance
  • Leadership & Management
  • Executive Search

You'll have the backing of an established business and experienced recruitment leaders, while having the autonomy to develop your own desk, relationships and market.

We're not looking for someone to simply manage a desk. We want someone who wants to make their mark.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
