Hybrid, with exceptional remote applicants also considered
Smyth & Co is one of the most exciting and forward-thinking names in luxury hospitality recruitment. We partner with some of the world’s finest hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, private members’ clubs, restaurant groups and luxury resorts, connecting extraordinary businesses with exceptional talent across the UK and internationally.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate, ambitious and highly self-driven Candidate Consultant to join our team. We offer amongst other benefits possibly the best commission scheme in the industry globally.
This role requires an exceptional work ethic, genuine hospitality knowledge and a confident, outgoing personality. You must enjoy speaking with people, building relationships and representing Smyth & Co professionally in a highly competitive market.
You will also need to be confident using AI and technology. We invest in the best recruitment systems, search platforms and AI-driven tools available, so strong general IT skills and a willingness to embrace new technology are essential.
Previous agency or internal recruitment experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in people from strong hospitality backgrounds who have the personality, commercial awareness and determination to build a successful career in recruitment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
