This is a delivery-focused role with a specialist quantitative trading recruitment firm working with some of the most sophisticated trading businesses in the market.
You’ll be focused entirely on identifying, engaging, and closing exceptional technical talent — predominantly senior candidates already working within quantitative trading, big tech, and the world’s leading AI research labs.
The Role
You won’t be expected to build a desk through endless business development.
The client relationships are already there. Your job is to work on the mandates, understand exactly what the firm is looking for, and find the handful of people in the market who could genuinely move the needle.
The candidate pool is highly specialized, including:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Quant Researchers & Developers
- Machine Learning / AI specialists
- Systematic traders
- Researchers from leading technology companies
- Talent from frontier AI labs
- Senior engineers and researchers moving between Big Tech, AI, and quantitative finance
This is increasingly becoming one talent market. Quant firms are competing directly with frontier AI labs for the same mathematicians, researchers, engineers, and ML specialists.
Why This Is Different
The economics are completely different from traditional recruitment.
- Average fee: ~£300k
- Largest fee: £1m
You’re working on searches where finding the right person can be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds to the business — meaning the role is about quality of search, market knowledge, and candidate relationships, rather than firing CVs at jobs.

You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with people who are genuinely difficult to reach and increasingly sought-after across quant trading, Big Tech, and frontier AI.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in experienced recruiters who enjoy research-led, high-value search rather than traditional 360 recruitment.
You don’t need to be a quant expert on day one.
You do need to be:
- Commercially sharp
- Naturally curious about technical talent
- Good enough with senior candidates to build genuine credibility
- Comfortable working on difficult, confidential searches
