Consultant - Permanent HR Recruitment
At Oakleaf Partnership, we believe the best recruiters are trusted advisers to both clients and candidates. We're looking for a Consultant to join our permanent HR recruitment team, partnering with organisations to identify and secure exceptional talent while helping candidates take the next step in their careers.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing environment where quality, expertise and relationship-building are valued just as highly as commercial success. You'll work with a broad range of businesses, from growing organisations to established market leaders, delivering permanent recruitment solutions across the HR landscape.
The Role
As a Consultant, you'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle for permanent HR appointments, developing strong client and candidate relationships while growing your own market presence. You'll combine business development with delivery, identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing partnerships and providing expert guidance throughout the hiring process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
