Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Recruitment Consultant role based in Portsmouth.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, screening CVs, conducting interviews, and coordinating shortlists for client vacancies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, taking detailed job briefs, advising on hiring strategies, and ensuring a high level of service throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Actively advertise roles, using online platforms and networking to attract candidates.
  • Maintain an accurate database and provide regular updates to clients and candidates.
  • Work closely with colleagues to meet performance targets, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to business growth through effective account management and new business development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in recruitment, staffing, or talent acquisition, with the ability to manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills, with a focus on client service and candidate care.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple vacancies and deadlines.
  • Comfort using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and online job boards for sourcing and administration.
  • Resilience, goal orientation, and the ability to work in a target-driven environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Previous experience in agency recruitment or a similar commercial role is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A relevant educational background or equivalent professional experience, and eligibility to work in the UK.
