Recruitment Consultant – Multiple Sectors
Location: Team Valley, Gateshead
Employment type: Full-time, permanent

About the Role
Jayco Recruitment is expanding, and we’re looking for Recruitment Consultants to join our team at our Team Valley headquarters. We have opportunities across several established and developing divisions, including:
- Logistics
- Industrial
- Health and Social Care
We’re interested in speaking to experienced Recruitment Consultants, as well as ambitious sales professionals who can demonstrate the drive and commercial ability needed to build a successful recruitment desk. Depending on your experience, you may join an existing division or take responsibility for developing a specialist market of your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and managing relationships with new and existing clients
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Managing vacancies from initial briefing through to placement
- Sourcing, interviewing, and assessing suitable candidates
- Creating and maintaining an active candidate pipeline
- Producing accurate job adverts and targeted candidate campaigns
- Negotiating rates, salaries, and commercial terms
- Working to individual and team performance targets
- Maintaining accurate records within the company CRM
- Ensuring all candidates meet the relevant compliance requirements
- Delivering a professional service to clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process

About You
We’re looking for people who are:
- Commercially driven and motivated by results
- Confident building relationships by telephone, email, and face-to-face
- Organised and able to manage multiple vacancies and priorities
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable working in a target-led environment
- Professional in their communication and approach
- Able to take ownership of a desk and deliver consistently
- Experienced in recruitment, business development, or a related sales role
Previous experience within logistics, industrial, health, or social care recruitment would be advantageous but is not essential for every opportunity.
