Recruitment Consultant – Renewables & Energy

Location: Manchester
Division: Renewables & Energy
Salary: Competitive + Uncapped Commission
Working Pattern: 4-Day Working Week | Hybrid

About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Renewables & Energy division at Elsdon.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and develop your own desk within one of the fastest-growing markets in recruitment. You’ll work with innovative businesses across the renewable energy and wider energy sectors, helping them secure the specialist talent they need to grow.

Whether you already have experience recruiting within Renewables, Energy, Power, Utilities, Solar, Wind, Hydrogen, Battery Storage or CleanTech, or you're an experienced recruiter looking to move into a high-growth market, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and developing your own client portfolio within the Renewables & Energy market
  • Identifying and engaging with high-quality candidates across specialist energy roles
  • Developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
  • Winning new business through proactive business development and market mapping
  • Managing the full recruitment process from initial briefing through to placement
  • Becoming a specialist within your chosen area of the energy market
  • Using LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM systems and other recruitment tools to identify and engage talent
  • Working towards personal and team targets while taking ownership of your own success

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is commercial, ambitious and motivated by success.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous recruitment consultancy experience
  • Experience within Renewables, Energy, Power, Utilities, Engineering or a related technical market is highly desirable
  • A proven track record of business development and/or winning new clients
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A competitive and target-driven mindset
  • The confidence to pick up the phone and build relationships
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own desk
  • A genuine interest in developing expertise within the renewable energy sector
