360 Recruitment Consultant – Cybersecurity, AI & Data Infrastructure

Manchester | Hybrid | £30,000–£35,000 + Uncapped Commission

A specialist recruitment business operating across some of the fastest-growing areas of technology is looking to hire a 360 Recruitment Consultant to join its growing Manchester team.

The business has deliberately moved away from a generalist technology recruitment model and now operates exclusively across Cybersecurity, AI, Data & Cloud Infrastructure and emerging Developer Platforms.

With a growing presence in the US market, average placement fees currently sitting at around £25,000+, and a strong delivery infrastructure already in place, the business is now looking for someone who wants to take ownership of a market and play a significant role in its next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a small, ambitious recruitment business at an early stage of its growth.

The successful individual will take ownership of a specialist desk focused initially on AI & Data Infrastructure, working predominantly across the US market.

This isn’t a role where someone is expected to start from scratch with no job flow.

The business already has established relationships, active vacancies, existing candidate networks and forward opportunities within the market. The successful consultant will inherit a warm platform from which to build their own desk, while progressively taking greater ownership of the business development side.

The longer-term opportunity is significant.

As the market develops, the successful consultant will have the opportunity to become the billing lead for their vertical, before building out a team underneath them and potentially moving into a leadership position.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of a specialist recruitment desk across AI, Data & Cloud Infrastructure
  • Working predominantly with US-based technology businesses
  • Managing the full 360 recruitment process from business development through to candidate delivery and placement
  • Developing new client relationships through targeted outbound activity, networking and market engagement
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior hiring managers and founders
  • Managing existing vacancies and warm client relationships
  • Building specialist candidate networks within your market
  • Running candidate processes from initial approach through to offer and placement
  • Developing a reputation and network within a highly specialist technology market
  • Working closely with the founder and existing consultants to develop the market
  • Helping shape the processes, strategy and future direction of the desk

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Market

The business operates within three highly specialist areas:

  • Cybersecurity
    • Working with some of the fastest-growing security businesses globally.
  • AI & Data / Cloud Infrastructure
    • Supporting innovative technology businesses building the infrastructure behind the next generation of AI.
  • Developer Platforms & AI
    • A developing market focused around emerging AI platforms, AI agents, AI DevOps and related technologies.

The company has deliberately chosen to specialise rather than operate as a generalist technology recruitment agency, allowing consultants to develop genuine expertise within their market.

Why Join?

  • High-value recruitment.
    • Average fees are currently around £25,000+, with opportunities regularly reaching £25,000–£30,000+.
  • A warm desk.
    • The successful consultant will not be starting with an empty CRM. There are existing client relationships, vacancies, candidate networks and future opportunities to work from.
  • US market exposure.
    • The majority of the business is now generated from the US, giving consultants exposure to a market where specialist technology recruitment fees can be significantly higher.
  • Real ownership.
    • This isn’t a role where you’ll simply be responsible for filling jobs handed down to you. The expectation is that you will progressively build your own client base and take ownership of your market.
  • Clear progression.
    • The long-term plan is for each specialist vertical to have its own billing lead, with additional consultants recruited underneath them. This role could therefore develop into a leadership opportunity as the business grows.
  • Access to the leadership team.
    • The successful individual will work closely with the founder and have significant exposure to the strategic and commercial side of the business.
  • Industry exposure.
    • The team regularly attends major technology and industry events in the US and UK, giving consultants the opportunity to build genuine networks within their specialist markets.

Who Are They Looking For?

The business is open-minded about sector experience.

The ideal candidate will have around 18 months+ recruitment experience, but the most important factor is attitude and ambition rather than having a specific technology background.

They are particularly interested in recruiters who:

  • Have experience working a 360 desk, or genuinely want to move into 360 recruitment
  • Are commercially minded and interested in business development
  • Want to build their own client relationships rather than rely solely on inherited vacancies
  • Are competitive and motivated by owning their own results
  • Are organised and disciplined in their approach
  • Have a genuine appetite to learn and develop
  • Are confident speaking with clients and candidates
  • Want to specialise rather than remain a generalist recruiter
  • Are excited by working within a smaller, entrepreneurial business

A pure delivery recruiter could also be considered if they have demonstrated the ambition and appetite to develop their BD skills.

Previous experience in AI, cybersecurity or data recruitment is not essential.

The Personality

This is likely to suit someone who wants more than simply joining another large recruitment company.

The business is deliberately small and entrepreneurial. The successful person will have significant visibility, responsibility and influence from day one.

They need to be comfortable with the idea that there isn’t a huge corporate infrastructure around them — instead, they’ll have the opportunity to help build that infrastructure themselves.

Someone who wants to eventually say “this is my market, this is my desk and this is the team I’ve built” is likely to thrive here.

Package

  • £30,000–£40,000 basic salary, depending on experience
  • Uncapped commission
  • Potential for a commission guarantee during the first three months for the right individual
  • Clear progression towards billing manager / team leadership
  • Opportunity to attend international industry events
  • Opportunity to become an integral part of a rapidly growing specialist recruitment business

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for a recruiter who has built a solid foundation in recruitment and is now looking for greater ownership, higher-value markets and a genuine opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit a desk.
