Senior Recruitment Consultant - Manchester City Centre

Are you an experienced recruiter who has built a strong track record and is now looking for a business where you can genuinely increase your earning potential, develop your career and have a bigger say in what you build?

We’re working with an established and highly successful recruitment business that is entering its next stage of growth. They have a strong market position, an impressive client base and an ambitious leadership team, and are looking to bring experienced recruiters into the business to help drive that growth.

This is not a traditional 360 recruitment role where you are simply expected to pick up a desk and get on with it. You’ll be given the opportunity to specialise within a clearly defined market, develop genuine expertise and build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and managing your own specialist market
  • Building strong relationships with clients, candidates and senior stakeholders
  • Working closely with founders, business owners and leadership teams
  • Managing senior and high-value recruitment mandates
  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing existing accounts
  • Becoming a recognised specialist within your chosen market
  • Contributing to the wider growth and development of the business
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team as you progress

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
