Job Description

About Us

Fusion, the process that powers the sun and stars, is one of the most promising options for generating the cleaner, carbon-free energy that our world badly needs. UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organisations to achieve ground-breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

About the Job

Join UKAEA as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator for a period of 10 months and help deliver a smooth, inclusive recruitment experience that connects talented people with opportunities to contribute to the future of fusion energy. You’ll play an important role in keeping recruitment campaigns moving efficiently and creating a professional candidate experience from vacancy launch through to interview. It’s an opportunity to build your recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment while supporting UKAEA’s ambitious mission.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process new recruitment requests and set up vacancies accurately within the ATS (SmartRecruiters)
  • Publish high-quality, inclusive job adverts that attract a diverse range of candidates and support fair recruitment.
  • Coordinate pre-screen and panel interviews for candidates in the UK and overseas, including virtual and in-person arrangements.
  • Arrange interview schedules, meeting rooms and additional assessments in collaboration with hiring teams.
  • Support candidates throughout the interview process, including welcoming them and ensuring appropriate feedback is provided before and after interviews where required.
  • Follow up on vacancy and offer approvals to help recruitment activity progress within agreed service levels.
  • Raise requisitions and purchase orders for recruitment advertising and other Talent Acquisition requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
