Emerging Talent and Resourcing Coordinator

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Emerging Talent and Resourcing Coordinator to deliver an excellent recruitment experience and support our emerging talent programmes.

This role is advertised as full-time, 37.5 hours per week, however we would consider applications from those wanting reduced hours at 30 per week.

The Role:

  • Coordinate recruitment administration across the full hiring journey, from advertising vacancies and candidate communication through to onboarding and pre-employment checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to recruitment enquiries and supporting candidates, hiring managers and colleagues throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment, candidate and vacancy records across people systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
  • Produce and coordinate recruitment reporting, including candidate tracking, diversity data, purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Build positive relationships with schools, colleges, universities and other external partners to support emerging talent initiatives.
  • Coordinate and attend careers fairs, open days and other engagement events, acting as a positive ambassador for the Woodland Trust and its apprenticeship programmes.

This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required once a month on average. Occasional travel to other offices and remote locations may also be required.

This is a fixed term contract until end of September 2027.

The Candidate:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A customer-focused approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers, new starters and external partners.
  • Confidence handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with experience managing and tracking programmes of work through large and detailed datasets.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles, particularly in relation to candidate and employee data.
  • Able to manage competing priorities, maintain high standards and work effectively within established processes.
  • Experience of working within a HR, People or recruitment environment would be advantageous.
