Barking & Dagenham College is a high-performing further education college committed to transforming lives through education and skills development.

We are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Recruitment Coordinator to support the delivery of an efficient and effective recruitment service across the College, on a full-time, fixed term basis for 4 months.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator or recruitment professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about attracting talented individuals who share our commitment to excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Recruitment Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.

Working closely with colleagues across the College, you will coordinate recruitment activities, maintain accurate records and support the delivery of best practice recruitment processes.

You will:

  • Support hiring managers with recruitment guidance and administrative assistance.
  • Promote the College's employer brand and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Prepare and publish job adverts across a range of recruitment platforms.
  • Manage candidate applications and ensure timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Arrange interviews, assessments and selection activities.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks, including references, right-to-work verification and DBS checks.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and reporting data.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a passionate and committed Recruitment Coordinator who understands the transformational impact of education and is dedicated to attracting exceptional talent that will help our learners achieve their full potential.

You should have:

  • Experience in recruitment, HR administration or a similar coordination role.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of using recruitment systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering an excellent candidate experience.
  • Knowledge of safer recruitment practices would be advantageous
