Role: Relief Screening Officer

  • Location: Slough & Hayes Area
  • Pay: 21.09 per hour
  • Hours: 24 hours per week - Monday - Sunday days nights and weekends

Responsibilities

Job Description

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Adhere to and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for secure area access
  • Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints
  • Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel
  • Perform hand-held wand searches and walk-through metal detection searches
  • Follow safe work practices and be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety. Notify superiors of any unsafe working conditions.
  • Carry out all functions, duties, or tasks in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, following applicable company policies and procedures
  • Seek clarification from superiors or authorised company representatives when uncertain
  • Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A valid SIA licence
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
  • Someone who is willing to travel and cover all of Slough and Hayes area.
  • Be able to work on their own occasionally for long periods of time
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
  • Great customer service skills (white glove attitude)
  • Proven experience in datacentre operations or equivalent security industry experience; or equivalent experience in forces/services.
