Role Description

We are seeking a pro-active, self-motivated, and enthusiastic person for the role of Recruitment Events Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support to ensure the successful planning, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of on campus and virtual recruitment events including University Open Days, Experience Days, Taster Days, postgraduate events, campus visits and bespoke events for a wide range of stakeholders including schools, colleges and other external partnership organisations.

As recruitment events often take place in the evenings or weekends, the post-holder will require a flexible approach to working hours.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist in the management and delivery of a wide range of virtual and on campus recruitment events including Open Days and Experience Days that support the delivery of student recruitment campaigns
  • Assist with researching and exploring innovative approaches to events to drive increased visitor numbers and deliver increased conversion’s for UG and PG enrolment
  • Manage the organisation and delivery of the Higher Education School Experience Programme
  • Develop and manage relationships with a wide range of staff including, academics, support teams, commercial services and students’ union to organise and deliver programmes of talks and activities
  • Be responsible for recruiting and training student ambassadors and supervising them at events.

Qualifications/ Experience

  • A good standard of education including GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience in the delivery of events
  • Customer service experience face to face, via telephone and email in a professional manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to target communications to the appropriate audience.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
