Recruitment & Executive Support Administrator
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 depending on experience
Location: London Bridge – office based
About Us
Philosophy Education is a growing, independent education recruitment agency based in London Bridge. We specialise in connecting high-quality teachers and support staff with Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across London.
We are a close-knit and highly experienced team working together in a busy, fast-paced office. Our consultants are supported by dedicated resourcing, compliance, and finance teams, enabling us to provide a fast, flexible, and highly responsive service to our schools and candidates.
As an independent company, we value our team, enjoy celebrating success, and offer a professional, collaborative, and friendly working environment.
The Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and positive Recruitment & Executive Support Administrator to work closely with our Directors and experienced recruitment consultants.
Both of our Directors continue to run busy recruitment desks alongside managing and developing the company, so this is an important hands-on support role at the heart of the business. A key part of your role will be helping to keep their recruitment desks and working days running smoothly. You will support daily bookings, candidate communication, placements, and administration, alongside providing wider executive and occasional personal administrative support to the Directors.
Our consultants are highly experienced and successful within their markets. Your role will be to work alongside them, providing practical and reliable support that enables them to focus their time on candidates, schools, and developing their desks.
As a growing company, there is also plenty happening beyond day-to-day recruitment. You will have opportunities to support company events, database and office projects, new systems, and other business initiatives.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys being busy, likes getting things organised, and takes satisfaction from helping other people work effectively, while also wanting to develop their own skills and responsibilities as the company grows.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Directors with the day-to-day running of their busy recruitment desks.
- Assisting with daily supply bookings for teachers and support staff.
- Liaising with schools and candidates regarding availability, bookings, and placements.
- Creating, updating, and managing placements within our recruitment database with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contacting prospective teachers and support staff and completing initial candidate registrations.
- Supporting candidate recruitment through database searches, calls, and candidate communication.
- Preparing candidate and school email marketing.
- Providing executive and administrative support to the Directors, including organisation, diary management, and ad-hoc tasks.
- Assisting with occasional personal administrative tasks for the Directors where required.
- Helping to organise company social events, meetings, and team activities.
- Supporting and contributing to internal projects, including database, systems, and office projects.
- Helping with the implementation of new initiatives and following up actions to keep projects moving.
- Answering incoming calls and providing general support with the day-to-day running of the office.
- Providing additional practical support to the Directors and wider team as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands what excellent support looks like.
You will be proactive and able to use your initiative, but equally comfortable taking direction and adapting to the priorities of the Directors and consultants you are supporting.
You should enjoy being part of a team and take pride in being dependable, organised, and one step ahead. This is a role for someone who notices what needs doing, follows things through, and is happy to get involved in the small day-to-day tasks as well as the more interesting projects.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within recruitment, administration, executive support, coordination, or another busy office environment.
- A positive, flexible, and can-do attitude.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with confidence using and learning database systems.
- Discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential business or personal information.
- The ability to use initiative while understanding when to seek direction.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy, pressured environment.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to support colleagues across the business.
- An interest in developing your skills and taking on additional responsibility as your experience grows.

Previous recruitment experience would be particularly useful, although we are equally interested in candidates who have worked in other fast-paced commercial environments and have the right combination of experience, attitude, and ambition.
Development
This is not a traditional administration role where every day looks the same.
You will work closely with experienced Directors and consultants and gain exposure to many different aspects of recruitment and the wider running of an established, growing business.
As your knowledge and experience develop, there will be opportunities to become involved in a wider range of business and operational projects and take on additional responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, while continuing to be a trusted and valued source of support to the Directors and wider team.
What We Offer
- £30,000 – £34,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Personalised training and ongoing development.
- A varied role with opportunities to broaden your skills and responsibilities.
- Exposure to different areas of a successful recruitment business.
- A modern office in the More London development, moments from London Bridge.
- 28 days' annual leave plus a wellbeing day.
- Subsidised gym membership.
- Wellbeing and employee benefits scheme.
- Regular company social events.
- A friendly, experienced, and supportive team environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is bright, organised, hardworking, and genuinely enjoys supporting others. For the right person, there is plenty of scope to develop the role and become an increasingly important part of Philosophy Education as the company continues to grow.
