The Vacancy
Uniserve is the UK's largest privately-owned international freight and logistics company. Operating through a global network of professional partners, we provide innovative supply chain solutions across all major trade markets, with specialist expertise in Europe, China, South East Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent.
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment and HR Administrator to join our team in Upminster, Essex.
Please note: this is a maternity cover role, potentially up to November 2027.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 0900-17:30
Key Responsibilities
- This is a varied role where no two days are the same. Your role will include:
- Support the recruitment process from vacancy approval through to onboarding
- Create engaging job adverts and deliver a great candidate experience
- Manage HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy
- Produce people reports and insights that support business decisions
- Prepare contracts, offer letters and employee lifecycle documentation
- Coordinate onboarding, compliance checks and references
- Act as a key point of contact for HR and recruitment queries
- Help improve HR processes, systems, and the overall employee experience

- Previous experience in recruitment administration, HR administration or a similar people-focused role (Preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of recruitment and employee administration processes
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
