About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment & HR Administrator to join our People team at Charles Trent.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining full-cycle recruitment with accurate HR administration. You’ll support every stage of the employee journey - from the moment a vacancy is approved, through recruitment and onboarding, to probation and ongoing employment.

We need someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment but is equally comfortable with the detail and organisation needed to keep HR administration running smoothly. You’ll work closely with hiring managers across the business and the HR Manager to ensure candidates receive a great experience and our employee records and processes are accurate, compliant and up to date.

What you’ll be doing

Recruitment

  • Manage vacancies from approval through to offer using our ATS.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand requirements across operational, technical and professional roles.
  • Write engaging job adverts and maintain accurate job descriptions.
  • Advertise roles across job boards, social media, our careers site and internal channels.
  • Screen applications, arrange and conduct interviews and provide candidate feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with recruitment agencies and manage temporary staffing requirements.
  • Attend recruitment events and job fairs.
  • Track recruitment data including time to hire, cost per hire and source of hire.

Offers, onboarding & probation

  • Prepare offer letters and contracts accurately and promptly.
  • Complete Right to Work checks and maintain compliant records.
  • Request references, driving licence checks and other role-specific checks.
  • Coordinate new starter arrangements with managers, including IT, equipment, uniform/PPE, induction and health & safety.
  • Set up new employees correctly on our HR system and ensure payroll receives accurate information.
  • Track probation reviews, remind managers and ensure outcomes are properly documented.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
