Recruitment Manager
My client, a leading international law firm, with an exceptional reputation, is looking to hire a Recruitment Manager to join their Talent Acquisition team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced legal recruiter to join a highly regarded global organisation and play a pivotal role in attracting top-tier legal talent. Partnering closely with senior leadership, practice group heads, and HR colleagues, you will take ownership of fee-earner recruitment across a range of practice areas, ensuring a seamless and high-quality recruitment experience for both candidates and stakeholders.
The role offers significant visibility across the business and would suit an individual who thrives in a stakeholder-focused environment, enjoys direct sourcing and talent mapping, and has a passion for delivering exceptional recruitment outcomes.
As Recruitment Manager, you will lead the end-to-end recruitment process for fee-earner hires, advising stakeholders on market conditions, sourcing strategies, and best practice recruitment processes. You will act as a trusted recruitment partner, helping the business identify and secure outstanding legal professionals while supporting broader talent acquisition initiatives.
Working within a collaborative international recruitment team, you will have responsibility for driving recruitment activity, building talent pipelines, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience from initial engagement through to onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for fee-earner vacancies across multiple practice groups.
- Develop tailored attraction and sourcing strategies for each hiring requirement.
- Conduct direct sourcing, market mapping, and talent identification to engage high-calibre legal professionals.
- Screen applications, manage interview processes, and coordinate candidate assessment activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to deliver efficient and effective recruitment campaigns.
- Manage offer negotiations and support candidates through the pre-boarding process.
- Establish strong and credible relationships with Partners, Practice Group Leaders, and senior business stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert on legal recruitment trends and market intelligence.
- Provide consultative advice on recruitment strategy, talent availability, and hiring challenges.
- Support leadership teams in navigating workforce planning and resourcing requirements.
- Build and maintain diverse talent pipelines across key legal disciplines.
- Proactively engage passive candidates and develop long-term talent communities.
- Drive direct sourcing initiatives to reduce reliance on external agencies.
- Utilise innovative recruitment methods and market intelligence to attract exceptional talent.
- Ensure recruitment processes deliver a first-class experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and support diversity-focused recruitment initiatives.
- Monitor recruitment metrics, hiring activity, and headcount reporting.
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with internal governance, approval processes, and budgets.
- Maintain strong relationships with preferred suppliers where agency support is required.
- Contribute to recruitment projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation of best-practice recruitment methodologies.
- Partner with colleagues across international offices to ensure consistency and alignment of recruitment processes.
- Leverage recruitment data and insights to drive operational improvements and hiring effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

- Significant recruitment experience gained within a legal or professional services environment.
- A strong track record of managing fee-earner recruitment across multiple practice areas.
- Extensive direct sourcing and talent mapping experience.
- Strong knowledge of the London legal market, with wider international recruitment exposure being advantageous.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders with confidence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using recruitment metrics and data to inform decision-making and hiring strategies.
- A degree-level education or equivalent experience.
