Your new office

We are recruiting for Recruitment Team Managers across our Technology business in both Birmingham and Milton Keynes.

Our Birmingham office

Located in the prestigious Colmore Square district, our Birmingham office is home to one of Hays' largest and most established Technology businesses, delivering specialist recruitment solutions across Data, Cloud and Software Development markets.

Our Milton Keynes office

Our Milton Keynes office operates within one of the UK's most innovative technology corridors, partnering with leading organisations across the Automotive Technology sector, specialising in Data, Cloud, Software Development and Projects & Change recruitment.

Due to continued investment and ambitious growth plans, we are looking for experienced recruitment leaders to join our Technology division. These opportunities offer the chance to lead established teams, maintain your own successful contract recruitment desk and play a key role in shaping the future growth of our Technology business.

You'll join a highly collaborative leadership community, influence regional strategy and drive performance across some of our most exciting specialist markets.

The Opportunity

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Recruitment Team Managers to join our Technology division, leading high-performing teams while operating your own successful contract recruitment desk.

Depending on location, you will lead either an established team of technology consultants specialising in Data, Cloud and Software recruitment, or a team focused on Automotive Technology recruitment across Data, Cloud, Software Development and Projects & Change.

You will be responsible for driving team performance, developing high-performing consultants and delivering sustainable growth across the Technology business. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will continue to operate a successful 360 temporary recruitment desk, building strategic relationships and delivering exceptional outcomes for both clients and candidates.

As a Recruitment Team Manager you will gain exposure to a range of different activities whilst being supported by ongoing leadership development programmes. Some of your main responsibilities may include:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of recruitment consultants to achieve and exceed individual and team targets
  • Source, interview and place high-quality technology professionals into temporary and contract opportunities
  • Identify and proactively partner with new and existing clients through business development activity to increase market share and create profitable growth opportunities
  • Expand existing client relationships while developing new business opportunities across your local market and wider region
  • Manage complex recruitment processes and strategic client relationships across specialist technology sectors
  • Be bold and curious, developing market expertise and helping your team build credibility within their specialist disciplines
  • Take accountability for team performance, desk profitability and achieving ambitious growth objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to wider regional strategy and business planning
  • Be part of a vibrant and inclusive culture that cheers on progress by celebrating personal and team performance

Who are we looking for?

You'll be ambitious, commercially driven and passionate about developing people. It's not just about what you've achieved, but your ability to inspire others to achieve more.

You should have:

  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Manager, Team Manager, Managing Consultant, Principal Consultant or Senior Consultant within Technology or a comparable specialist market
  • Strong leadership and coaching capability with a genuine passion for developing high-performing teams
  • Proven track record of successful contract or permanent recruitment, business development and revenue generation
  • Customer centric by understanding clients' needs and delivering tailored solutions
  • A strategic mindset to identify opportunities and drive profitable outcomes
  • Open to change and comfortable operating within a fast-paced target-driven environment
  • Ability to develop new business relationships and maintain your network through client meetings, networking events and market engagement activity
  • Commercially driven with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and decision makers
  • Collaborative in spirit, people focused with a sales-driven mentality
  • Be resilient, bold and curious
