Head of Permanent

City of London | £80,000–£90,000 + Bonus | Genuine Four-Day Week

Most recruitment leadership roles are about managing people. This one is about building them.

At THRYVE, we've spent the last 12 years building a specialist Technology and Energy recruitment business across Germany and the wider DACH region. We've grown deliberately, built a fantastic team and created a culture we're genuinely proud of.

Now we're ready for the next chapter.

We're looking for an exceptional recruitment leader to build the next chapter of our Permanent division.

This isn't about replacing someone. It's about investing in our future by building on the strong foundations we've already created.

You'll inherit an established team of talented recruiters and play a key role in developing them, recruiting future talent and building one of the highest-performing specialist recruitment teams in our market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a non-billing leadership role.

Your success won't be measured by your own placements. It'll be measured by the success of the people you lead.

Germany / DACH experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. Most importantly, you'll genuinely enjoy helping other recruiters become exceptional.

  • Meaningful divisional performance bonus.
  • Genuine four-day working week.
  • A real opportunity to shape and grow an established division.

  • Clear long-term progression within a growing leadership team.
