As an Administrator, you will support with the administrative duties around medical screening of Royal Air Force applicants.

You will join a large existing team and play a vital part in supporting with the administration and smooth-running of the process of recruiting appropriate talent to join the Armed Forces.

This is a fixed term contract until end of the 28th February 2027. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between home and our offices in Coventry, which is located on Hertford Street.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Liaising with applicants, Armed Forces Careers Offices and Medical Experts - answering queries and assisting candidates through the medical aspects of their application
  • Organising and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information
  • Interacting with third party providers where appropriate, such as candidate, GPs, as part of medical process fulfilment
  • Co-ordination of medical screening
  • Reviewing letters, postal administration and scanning
  • Answering the phone and responding to queries

Essential qualifications/skills/experience

  • Previous administration experience is required
  • Good IT skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong customer service, both face to face and over the telephone
  • Ability to work using own initiative and within a team environment
  • Confidence

  • An understanding of the military would be an advantage, but not essential
