Exciting Opportunity with Fareham Borough Council
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive HR team and play a key role in helping Fareham Borough Council attract, recruit and retain great people.
About the Role
As our Recruitment Officer, you'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of professional and engaging recruitment and onboarding activity. You'll work closely with managers and candidates to deliver an excellent recruitment experience whilst ensuring our processes remain compliant, efficient and inclusive.
Key Responsibilities

Play an active part in shaping and refining recruitment requirements across the full recruitment lifecycle

Advertising vacancies

Supporting interviews

Undertaking pre-employment checks

Producing employment documentation

Helping new employees get off to a great start

Anticipate and manage risks and provide practical solutions during recruitment and onboarding

Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives

Requirements
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of current recruitment and onboarding practices and processes
- Administrative background ideally in the public sector
Skills and Experience
- Organised, proactive and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in building positive working relationships
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and analyse recruitment data
- Ability to take ownership of your work and be committed to delivering a positive experience for candidates and managers alike
