Human Resources Manchester

Circa £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
35 Hours per Week

This role outlines an exciting opportunity within the Human Resources team at the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute. As Recruitment Officer, you will provide a professional, efficient and candidate-focused recruitment service, supporting the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy advertising through to onboarding and induction.

The Role

As a Recruitment Officer, You Will

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment campaigns
  • Support candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Arrange and coordinate interviews, both in person and virtually
  • Complete offer administration and pre-employment checks, including right to work verification
  • Deliver onboarding and induction activities for new starters
  • Maintain accurate HR and recruitment records in line with GDPR requirements
  • Produce recruitment statistics and reports
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the HR service

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working within a recruitment or HR environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practice, right to work requirements and UK employment legislation
  • Experience using HR systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Experience Includes

  • Working within higher education, research or not-for-profit sectors
  • Social media recruitment activity
  • International recruitment
  • Attending interview panels as an HR representative
  • Producing recruitment metrics and reports
