Recruitment Partner (Independent) — Contract Desk
Location: Remote (UK)
About the opportunity
This role is designed for experienced recruiters who know that a contract desk is built on relationships, not just placements, and who want a way of working that lets them focus on exactly that. Many recruiters reach a point where flexibility becomes just as important as earnings. Whether that's protecting your energy, managing caring responsibilities, or simply wanting a working pattern you control, this opportunity allows you to build a recruitment business around your contract book, without the admin that usually comes with it.
You'll be joining Myn as an independent Recruitment Partner, with the freedom to choose how you want to operate, whether that's building and growing your own client base, or focusing purely on recruiting against opportunities Myn generates for you.
What you'll be doing
- Focusing on the relationship-led parts of the contract cycle: qualifying opportunities, engaging candidates and closing placements, while Myn's AI and automation handle the rest.
- Managing your contractor book from a people perspective: checking in regularly with clients and candidates, staying close to how each assignment is going, and spotting when a conversation about extension or renewal needs to happen.
- Proactively facilitating extensions and renewals, keeping both client and contractor engaged and informed well before an assignment is due to end.
- Building and growing your own desk within your chosen specialty, if developing your own client base.
- Developing long-term candidate relationships that keep your talent pool warm for repeat contract work.
- Using Myn's AI-powered platform to manage recruitment activity efficiently.
- Working independently while having access to operational, compliance and technology support, freeing you up to focus on high-value, relationship-facing activity, not paperwork.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
We're interested in experienced contract recruiters who are organised, self-motivated and enjoy building lasting relationships.
You'll have:
- Agency recruitment experience running a contract or temp desk.
- A relationship-first approach to managing a contractor book, comfortable staying in regular touch with clients and candidates throughout an assignment, not just at the point of placement.

- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- A consultative, honest approach to advising clients and candidates.
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support.

- An AI-powered CRM and recruitment platform that groups and advertises vacancies for you, writes proposals, and delivers pre-qualified candidates straight into your talent pool.
- Fully supported timesheets, compliance, payroll and administration, handled for you, so you can focus on the people, not the paperwork.
- Learning and development support.
- Marketing and operational support.
