Provn is a specialist technology search firm working with investment firms and fintechs.
We're looking for an experienced agency recruiter to become our first-ever Practice Director with the opportunity to run the practice as you see fit, backed by a genuine path to partnership as you grow it.
You'll build and own the practice from an existing base, sit at the leadership table alongside our founders, and be on a genuine partnership track as the business grows.
The Practice
Asset & Wealth Managers is one of Provn's active practice areas. It covers technology hiring across asset managers and wealth managers as well as life and pension businesses. The foundations are strong - a growing tiered client base with strong margins, and clear whitespace to build further.
This is fundamentally a BD-led role. Your job is to open doors, build relationships, and win mandates. How you deliver against those mandates is entirely your call: build out resourcing support under you as the practice grows, or run search yourself where you want to stay close to it. It's your practice to shape.
Practice Ownership
- Own revenue and margin targets for your practice - client base and growth entirely in your hands
- Lead BD: build and own relationships with CTOs, Heads of, and other hiring stakeholders across the sector
- Discretion over how you build the practice's presence in market - events, sponsorships, client entertainment, and relationship-building spend
- Win and manage search mandates - decide how delivery gets resourced, whether that's building a team under you or running search personally
- Track hiring signals and market movement across target accounts to drive proactive BD
- Build out resourcing capability within the practice as and when it makes sense for growth
- You'll decide the right engagement model for each client and your practice - retained, exclusive, contingent, day rate or SoW

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
