Recruitment Researcher – Finance & Executive Search

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Working Pattern: Hybrid

Sector: Finance & Executive Search

Salary: Competitive

The Opportunity

We are working with a highly successful recruitment business in Newcastle that is looking to appoint a Recruitment Researcher to support two established and high-performing divisions: Finance Recruitment and Executive Search.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious researcher or recruitment professional to join a successful business and play a key role in identifying and engaging senior and specialist talent across the UK.

Working across both teams, you will be responsible for market mapping, candidate identification and research, providing valuable intelligence that supports the wider recruitment and executive search functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed candidate and market research across the UK.
  • Identify and map relevant talent within finance and executive-level markets.
  • Utilise LinkedIn Recruiter, databases and other research tools to identify potential candidates.
  • Build and maintain accurate candidate pipelines.
  • Produce market maps and candidate reports for consultants and search teams.
  • Proactively identify new and emerging talent within target markets.
  • Contact and engage potential candidates to establish interest and suitability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.
  • Work closely with consultants and executive search professionals to understand briefs and deliver targeted research.
  • Provide market intelligence and insight to support client assignments.
  • Assist with wider business development and research activity where required.

The Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded and enjoys research, finding information and connecting people.

We would consider candidates from a number of backgrounds, including:

  • Previous recruitment experience.
  • Recruitment administration or resourcing experience.
  • Executive Search or talent research experience.
  • Graduate-level candidates with strong research, communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar candidate sourcing platforms would be advantageous.

You will need:

  • Previous recruitment experience
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Confidence communicating with candidates at all levels.
  • A proactive and tenacious approach.
  • Strong IT and database skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
