Love the Hunt More Than the Hire? - Can you find the purple squirrels everyone else misses?

The best candidates aren't always looking for a new job. They're already succeeding somewhere else. That's where you come in!

We are looking for a Talent Sourcing Specialist to join our Recruitment team on a permanent basis, helping us find, engage and attract exceptional engineering, manufacturing and technical talent across our UK businesses.

Hybrid working
Regular travel to our UK sites required
BPSS clearance required

This isn't a recruitment admin role. It isn't about posting adverts and waiting for applications. It's about searching, mapping, headhunting and engaging. You will tackle some of our hardest-to-fill vacancies, uncover passive talent and build relationships with people who may not even know they're ready for their next opportunity yet.

What you will be doing

  • Proactively headhunting engineering, manufacturing and technical professionals.
  • Mapping competitor organisations and identifying hard-to-find talent.
  • Building relationships with passive candidates and developing long-term talent pipelines.
  • Using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search and other sourcing tools to uncover talent others can't find.
  • Creating personalised approaches that start conversations – not generic InMails that get ignored.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to really understand specialist recruitment requirements.
  • Providing competitor mapping, market intelligence and talent insights.
  • Constantly exploring new sourcing techniques and smarter ways to reach niche talent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why join us?

You will have the opportunity to help shape how we find talent across a growing group of specialist engineering and technology businesses.

We want someone who will think differently, challenge traditional sourcing methods and build sustainable talent pipelines, rather than simply work through a vacancy list.

If you measure success by the quality of the people you uncover rather than the number of CVs you process…

If you thrive on turning "impossible to fill" into "offer accepted"…

If finding the person nobody else could find is the part of recruitment you love most… We would love to hear from you.

Bring your curiosity, determination and headhunting expertise and help us find the people who will shape the future of our business.
