Recruitment Resourcer

Great at finding people? Even better at getting them talking?

At Convergence Group, we’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Resourcer who combines sharp thinking, natural warmth and the determination to find brilliant people.

You’re bright, engaging and comfortable picking up the phone. You can turn a first conversation into a real connection, ask the right questions and spot the difference between a promising CV and someone who will actually deliver.

You also know recruitment takes persistence. People don’t always reply. Priorities change. The perfect candidate can be harder to find than expected. You stay focused, try another approach and keep moving.

And while you take pride in your work, you don’t take yourself too seriously. A sense of humour goes a long way.

What It’s Really Like Here

The pace and intensity are higher than most environments in our sector. The workload is typically around 30% greater than many people will have experienced elsewhere - not because we are chaotic, but because we are ambitious and constantly building. We grow organically and through acquisition, continuously integrating, improving and raising the bar. The landscape evolves, priorities shift, and expectations rise. If you prefer a predictable, static environment, this probably won’t feel comfortable. If you are energised by growth, movement and high standards, it can be deeply rewarding.

Your strengths will have a bigger platform here - and you will be stretched behaviourally more than in most environments. We value respectful honesty: anyone can challenge an idea; hierarchy doesn’t protect thinking and getting it right matters more than being right. Ego doesn’t perform well here; curiosity, learning and ownership do. We hire people who are already strong at their craft - the stretch at Convergence Group is navigating pace, complexity and constant evolution. This environment isn’t for everyone, but for the right person it offers an exceptional opportunity for impact, growth and accelerated development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Finding and engaging candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and proactive searches.
  • Having thoughtful screening conversations to understand candidates’ skills, motivations and suitability.
  • Working with hiring managers to understand what each role really needs.
  • Building strong talent pipelines for current vacancies and future hiring.
  • Keeping candidates informed, interested and engaged throughout the process.
  • Coordinating interviews, following up promptly and keeping recruitment records accurate.
  • Bringing fresh ideas when the usual search isn’t producing the right people.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring 3 years or more recruitment resourcing experience, gained in an agency or in-house team, and a track record of finding quality candidates. Experience sourcing technical, IT or telecommunications talent would be useful, but strong recruitment skills and the ability to learn matter most.

More than anything, you’ll be:

  • Bright and curious: quick to understand a brief and willing to ask useful questions
  • Engaging and chatty: someone who builds rapport easily and knows when to listen
  • Resilient and relentless: persistent in your search, resourceful in your approach and respectful of candidates’ decisions
  • Focused and organised: able to manage competing vacancies without losing momentum
  • Meticulous: accurate notes, clear communication and follow-through you can rely on
  • Down to earth: serious about doing a great job, with enough perspective to enjoy yourself along the way
