£27,000 per annum | 37 hours per week | Monday to Friday | No Sales Targets | No On-Call

Pure Staff are looking for a confident, energetic Recruitment Resourcer to join our Driving recruitment team. This is not a traditional recruitment sales role. You won't be cold calling companies, chasing new business or expected to take an on-call phone home with you. Instead, your focus is purely on finding, speaking to and recruiting HGV and Van Drivers to work across Pure Staff's 180+ strong national client base.

That doesn't mean we're looking for someone who wants to sit behind a computer all day. This is a phone-heavy role and we're looking for someone who enjoys talking to people, asking questions and selling an opportunity.

Hours & Pay

  • £27,000 per annum + 28 days holiday
  • 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 & Friday: 08:00 - 15:30)
  • No out-of-hours duties or on-call requirement.

What will you actually be doing?

The aim of the game is simple: find good drivers and convince them to work with Pure Staff and our fantastic clients.

You'll have plenty of tools available to help you do it, including:

  • Advertising vacancies across the UK's major household job boards
  • Proactively searching job board CV databases for HGV and Van Drivers
  • Working through our own extensive recruitment CRM containing years of historic driver records
  • Reconnecting with drivers who have previously registered or worked for Pure Staff
  • Calling new candidates and generating interest in our available vacancies
  • Finding out exactly what work each driver is looking for - location, pay, start times, shift patterns, vehicle type and availability
  • Building accurate candidate records so we know who to contact when the right job becomes available
  • Registering drivers through our own online registration app
  • Completing digital Right to Work checks using our online verification technology
  • Keeping in touch with drivers and building relationships for future opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Some calls will be with drivers actively looking for work. Others might be with someone we haven't spoken to for a couple of years. Reigniting those past relationships and turning new conversations into registered Pure Staff drivers is a big part of the job. You'll need a bit of a sales mentality. Although this isn't a sales position in the traditional recruitment sense, but we do find the best Resourcers approach candidate recruitment like sales.

Drivers have plenty of agencies and employers competing for their attention. Your job is to understand what they're looking for, explain what we can offer and sell the benefits of working with Pure Staff and our clients. That means we're looking for someone who is perfectly comfortable picking up the phone again and again throughout the day.

If you'd rather send an email or text than make a call, this probably isn't the role for you. If you enjoy speaking to people, building rapport, overcoming objections and getting someone from 'I'm not really looking' to 'go on then, tell me more', you could be exactly what we're looking for.

Why is Pure Staff different?

Pure Staff has been supplying temporary workers to businesses across the UK for many years and today supports a national client base of more than 180 customers. One of our biggest differences is how we employ our temporary workforce.

Every Pure Staff driver is employed and paid directly by Pure Staff through PAYE. We don't send drivers through umbrella companies and we don't charge workers payroll processing fees or make confusing deductions from their wages. For our drivers, that means straightforward employment, simple payslips and weekly pay directly from Pure Staff. For our clients, it means knowing exactly who is employing and paying the drivers working on their sites.

Who are we looking for?

Previous recruitment experience would be useful, but attitude and personality are more important to us.

You could come from recruitment, telesales, customer service, call centres, account management or another telephone-based environment.

What really matters is that you're:

  • Confident on the telephone and happy making a high volume of calls
  • Naturally comfortable starting conversations with people you've never spoken to before
  • Inquisitive and good at asking questions
  • Persuasive and descriptive without being pushy
  • Comfortable working towards recruitment targets and measurable activity
  • Organised enough to maintain accurate candidate records
  • Confident using computers, databases and online systems
  • Persistent - because not everyone answers the first time
  • Able to build rapport with people from all different backgrounds
  • Motivated by seeing the candidates you've recruited actually start work

Knowledge of HGV driving or logistics would be helpful, but it isn't essential - we can teach you the industry. What is much harder to teach is the confidence to pick up the phone.

If you like the people side of recruitment but aren't interested in cold calling businesses or taking an on-call phone home, this is an opportunity to concentrate on what recruitment should ultimately be about: finding good people, understanding what they want and matching them with the right work.
