Recruitment & Sales Director – UK
Lead people. Grow markets. Shape strategy.
At Osborne Recruitment, we are continuing to grow our UK presence and are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Recruitment Director to lead our UK sales and recruitment strategy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruitment and commercial leader who thrives on winning new business, developing high-value client relationships, growing markets and building high-performing recruitment teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering Osborne’s UK growth strategy, with responsibility for driving revenue, expanding our client base, developing recruitment capability, and identifying new opportunities across the UK market.
Location: Glasgow, or West London or Manchester.
Travel: UK-wide travel will be required as part of the role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver Osborne’s UK sales, recruitment and growth strategy.
- Drive new business development and identify strategic commercial opportunities across the UK.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Develop and grow Osborne’s presence across existing and new sectors and markets.
- Drive revenue, profitability, performance and overall commercial results.
- Lead, coach and inspire high-performing sales and recruitment teams.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment and business development strategies aligned with market opportunities.
- Identify emerging sectors, clients and market opportunities to support continued UK growth.
- Work closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver strategic business plans.
- Set clear commercial and recruitment targets and ensure delivery against agreed KPIs.
- Support the development of a strong, collaborative and high-performance culture across the UK business.
- Represent Osborne at a senior level with key clients, candidates, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
- Lead from the front on key business development opportunities, pitches and client negotiations.
- Contribute to the wider strategic direction and continued growth of the Osborne Group.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a Sales Director, Recruitment Director, Commercial Director or senior recruitment/sales leadership role.
- Strong track record of delivering UK-wide revenue, business development and commercial growth.
- Significant experience within the recruitment industry, with a strong understanding of recruitment sales and client development.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales and recruitment strategies.
- Strong network of senior-level clients and business contacts across the UK.
- Demonstrable experience winning, developing and retaining high-value client relationships.
- Strong leadership, coaching and people-development skills.
- Commercially focused, strategic and results-driven, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on levels.
- Strong understanding of UK recruitment markets, trends and commercial opportunities.
- Ability to lead through growth and build high-performing teams.
- A confident, ambitious and collaborative approach.
