Are you a customer-focused, organised and proactive HR professional with excellent attention to detail? We are seeking a People Services Support Officer to join our People Services & Organisational Development team at Nottinghamshire Police.
🚀 What you'll do
- Act as a first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, providing professional and customer-focused support.
- Process employee lifecycle and recruitment activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.
- Maintain and update employee records and People Services systems in line with policies, procedures and payroll deadlines.
- Provide advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, Police Regulations and employment-related matters.
- Support recruitment processes, including job advertising, pre-employment checks, interview arrangements and onboarding.
- Produce and maintain HR correspondence and documentation in line with legislation and best practice.
- Support People Services projects, meetings, events and data collation activities.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient and professional service.

💡 What We’re Looking For
- Experience in HR, recruitment, administration or customer service environments.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience using databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards it.
