We're looking for a proactive and creative Recruitment & Training Academy Administrator who enjoys combining technology, communication, marketing, and administration to help attract, engage, and onboard the next generation of bus drivers and transport professionals.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety. One day you could be creating engaging recruitment content for social media and careers websites, the next you could be managing recruitment systems, coordinating campaigns, analysing recruitment data, or working with managers across the business to improve candidate attraction.

What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment Marketing & Candidate Attraction
- Help promote Go-Ahead London as an employer of choice through engaging recruitment campaigns.
- Create and update content for recruitment websites, social media channels, and job boards.
- Support employer branding initiatives and promote careers across the business.
- Work with operational teams to identify recruitment needs and develop attraction strategies.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve applicant engagement and conversion rates.
- Support recruitment events, open days, careers fairs, and community engagement activities.
Recruitment Systems & Administration
- Become a key administrator of our recruitment systems, ensuring candidate records, workflows, and communications are maintained accurately.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns from vacancy advertising through to onboarding.
- Manage interview scheduling, candidate communications, and recruitment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Right to Work legislation, GDPR requirements, and company procedures.
- Produce recruitment reports and analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with managers and departments across the business to gather information and ensure recruitment processes run smoothly.

Training Academy Support
- Provide administrative support to the Training Academy, ensuring records are accurate and compliant.
- Maintain training databases, certification records, attendance records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of training materials and learner communications.
- Coordinate training schedules, facilities, and resources with operational teams.
Team Support
- Act as a first point of contact for recruitment and training enquiries.
- Provide cover and support for colleagues across the Recruitment, Training, and Apprenticeship teams when required.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes, systems, candidate experience, and operational efficiency.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using digital systems, databases, or applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and gathering information from different departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working with data, reports, and system administration.

Desirable
- Experience within recruitment, training, HR, marketing, or administration.
- Experience managing website content and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of recruitment systems such as iCIMS or similar ATS platforms.
- Understanding of Right to Work legislation and GDPR.
- Experience producing reports and analysing recruitment performance data.
- Interest in transport, logistics, or the bus industry.
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a traditional administration role. We are looking for somebody who can blend administration, technology, communication, and creativity to help us attract and recruit great people. You'll be trusted to manage key recruitment systems, work closely with stakeholders across the business, contribute to recruitment marketing initiatives, and help shape the candidate experience from first contact through to training.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility may occasionally be required to support recruitment events, training activities, or departmental requirements.
- Occasional weekend working may be required.
