An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Campus Services team, working on our city campus to help fulfill our commitment to providing a quality cleaning service to the academic environment.

We are seeking reliable and motivated Recycling Officers to join our team. As part of Estates and Facilities, you will help create a positive environment that supports the learning, teaching, and research activities of the University.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, pride in your work, and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential. You will work as part of a supportive team to maintain waste and recycling operations in University's buildings to the highest standards, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and welcoming for our diverse community and focuses on the student experience.
As a Recycling Officer, this busy and varied role incorporates all duties related to collection, sorting, and disposal of waste and recycling materials, assistance with ceremonies and corporate events, and ensuring all buildings are maintained to the highest standard to enhance our facilities for all students, staff, and visitors.

Ideal Candidate
We Are Looking For An Individual Who:
- Will ideally have previous experience in a similar role.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Have experience of manual handling methods.
- Take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Can follow rotas, instructions, and health and safety requirements.
- Have good communication skills.
- Are willing to undertake training and development as required.
The position is part of a small team on campus, working within allocated university buildings. You will be required to work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:00am-1:00pm, although flexibility on the start time will be considered for the successful candidate.
The salary shown will be pro-rated down to reflect the part-time hours.
